Four Tips For Younger Looking Skin

Beauty products can transform features and camouflage a host of skin issues. They can conceal blemishes and dark circles, make your eyes look bigger, slim your nose, and perfect a pretty pout. But did you know that using the right products and application process can also help you look younger? Mehron's Creative Director Stephanie Koutikas recently shared her beauty tips for turning back the clock with byrdie.com:

  1. Use a velvety primer to help foundation look smoother on mature skin. "Velvet Finish Primer provides a matte look to the skin, giving it a youthful velvet finish," said Koutikas. "The enriched blend of vitamins and antioxidants helps to create the appearance of flawless skin all day long. The unique formula minimizes the appearance of fine lines and helps makeup stay on longer, as it’s infused with an emollient and antioxidant complex."
  2. Apply foundation with a damp Face Smoothie. "The secret is to add moisture to your foundation so that your skin feels soft and luminescent," said Koutikas. "Between the [Face Smoothie] absorbing some of the foundation and the water thinning the rest, you will get optimal coverage."
  3. Don’t heavily conceal under the eyes. "Too much coverage can bring an aging appearance to skin and can highlight wrinkles and lines in this delicate area," warns Koutikas. Before applying a corrector or concealer, prep the skin with a moisturizing eye cream, and be sure to keep the touch light. Mehron’s anti-aging CARA Moisturizer is a nourishing, vitamin-packed lotion for all skin types. Formulated with vitamin E, shea butter, aloe vera, and acaí berry extract, it helps to restore skin’s vitality and protect against the surface signs of aging.
  4. Switch to a mineral-based setting powder. Celebré Pro HD Loose Mineral Finishing Powder is a luxurious matte finishing powder. Made with French delaminated talc, this ultra-fine powder provides flawless coverage.
